BLIND GUARDIAN: 'The Show Must Go On!'
May 15, 2003BLIND GUARDIAN will once again be utilizing the services of RHAPSODY drummer Alex Holzwarth for their upcoming tour due to a tendon infection suffered by regular BG skinsman Thomas Stauch.
"Unfortunately Thomen seems to have got the same problems with the nerves in his hand like he had before our South American tour last year," BLIND GUARDIAN guitarist Marcus Siepen writes on the band's official web site. "He can't put any pressure on it without incurring big pains and therefore he is not able to play live with us in the moment. He is in medical treatment and we hope he will be back in business as soon as possible. In the meantime Alex Holzwarth will help us out so all the scheduled gigs will definitely be played!"
BLIND GUARDIAN's upcoming live album, simply entitled "Live", is due on May 26. The two-disc collection contains 22 songs recorded last year on the band's world tour.
